Before decorating, this living room was about as devoid of personality as you can get. Brown couch, brown carpet, brown coffee table...
Once I found the patterned curtains, though, decorating became so much easier.
I pulled the colors from the curtains and found matching pillows, table lamps, and jute rug.
And yes, I believe in fake flowers because ain't nobody got time to keep things alive that aren't my children!
My husband (bless him) even made a custom built-in that I designed, complete with under cabinet lighting. Side note: there are some great IKEA hacks for stuff like this but sadly our available space was too small to make that work.
